Position Overview
- We are recruiting for a Service and Maintenance Technician which includes Lifting and Transport Equipment to join our Tools Equipment Management Warehouse within SGRE.
- We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual to work in a friendly team environment responsible for inspecting, registering and maintaining lifting equipment while performing essential servicing, repairs and electrical safety tests to manufacturer’s specification.
- This is a varied role where thorough training will be provided to the successful candidate.
- We are looking for candidates who has a proven track record of delivering inspection and maintenance in a service environment.
- This role will have full training provided with the relevant GWO Courses.
- Relocation may be offered for this position should it be necessary.
Responsibilities
- Inspection and registration of existing/new lifting equipment.
- Perform document maintenance, installation, fault diagnosis and repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and instrumentation systems.
- Periodical service of lifting equipment
- Ensure the safety of yourself and others within HSE best practice.
- Electrical Safety Tests
- Be a part of a 24/7 on call service from the department
- Assemble & disassemble of transport equipment
- Be a part of the one stop shop team
Required Knowledge, Education, Experience And Skills
- You must work well as part of a team and as an individual, as there will be an expectation to become self-sufficient and manage your daily activities.
- Have excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with other colleagues, supervisors, managers and departments.
- Sound knowledge of mechanics with experience of hydraulics, mechanical and electrical.
- Can demonstrate the ability to read/understand procedures/specifications/ drawings/sketches/diagrams etc.
- PC literate and able to use MS office applications.
- Demonstrates a logical problem-solving approach to all breakdowns and issues.
- Possess previous equipment maintenance experience including breakdown support, fault finding, repair and process improvement.
