Wichard Groupe North America is seeking an organized, motivated Customer Service Representative to join its customer service team. Based in our North Kingstown, Rhode Island office within the Quonset industrial park, this role offers the opportunity to become part of our broad portfolio of respected brands serving the marine, industrial and architectural markets.
As a key point of contact for customers and an important partner to the sales team, the successful candidate will help deliver responsive service, accurate order support, and consistently positive customer experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who enjoys working with customers, products, and a collaborative international business.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for inbound customer calls and inquiries.
- Process sales orders accurately from email, EDI, web, and phone channels.
- Support the sales and other customer-facing teams with product and order information.
- Respond promptly, professionally, and accurately to all types of customer inquiry.
- Create welcoming, helpful customer interactions that strengthen long-term relationships.
- Provide complete and accurate information on product availability, and shipment dates.
- Follow company communication guidelines and procedures with minimal supervision.
- Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance the customer experience.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in processing and basic accounting-related tasks.
- Clear communication, sound judgment, and practical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365, is a plus.
- Spanish and/or French language skills are a benefit.
- Boating experience is helpful; enthusiasm for learning about our products and brands is essential.
